Towards User-generated Microgames for Supporting Learning: An Investigative Exploration

Educational games have great potential for learning, however the of user-generated microgames supporting learning is still not completely understood. The present study reviews design quality based on microgame fundamentals and explores facilitating from perspective elementary teachers in terms strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats. This exploratory research organised within GeoGebra application with participation Indonesia. found that met but mechanics aesthetics were need some improvements. major strength simplicity their user interfaces are weakness. Learning resources environments Indonesian schools relatively supportive integration into processes whilst senior rural areas less so. These findings suggest users should pay more attention to audios, visuals special effects as well winning conditions when creating open platforms. It pivotal importance provide playing instructions fit mobile screens. Furthermore, carefully select consider context before utilising assisting learning.
